My Story

Hi, I’m Lauren and I run the Truro shop in Cornwall. I live with my partner Ashley and our rascal of a cat, Oscar. I’ve always had a fascination with the weird and wonderful (so much so that I have begun to embody that in most aspects of my life!) so crystal and mineral specimens are very much on the interest list. They provide so much new information and I love learning about them everyday and in turn sharing what I learn with anyone I’m lucky enough to meet.

My favourite crystals are rainbow moonstone, celestite, citrine and opal. My favourite thing to do in the shop is creating colourful displays and experiment with merchandising the shelves to make things stand out more and look pretty. My fun crystal fact is that Amber was so highly prized at one point of history that it was used as currency and in medieval times, if you were found in unauthorised possession of Amber, your punishment would be death.
