Hey guys,
Just a quick PSA there's a crystal seller out there, some of you may know who but I won't name them, who are selling things with inaccurate information, claiming to be selling spectrolite from Madagascar & a new find super seven.
Spectrolite can only be found in Finland, nowhere else, super seven can only be found in one place & thats the Espirito Santo mine in Brazil.
I'm happy to privately share with any of you guys any sellers I feel are misselling products, I won't out them publicly because I just cba with the drama but I can't have you guys being roped into buying things at ridiculous prices when they're not even being honest in their products.
Buy from whoever you like, just be wary my huns
Love you all dearly! ❤❤❤❤❤
Yo. So, I'm not much of a piper-upper on stuff like this but I'm still thinking about it 24 hours later soooo that probably means I should just chuck my 2 pennies worth out there 🙈 I know this seller well; I have bought from them for a long time and continue to do so and in my experience they are very well informed, always do their research and I'd consider them all round good eggs who I trust wholeheartedly. The spectrolite was caveated with "technically not but very much like based on the range of colours etc" on the live and the super 7...I dunno, it's tough, because that's the recognisable name that the majority of customers will know and because I know the seller, I know that they know that that super 7 (along with Melody Stone etc.) is a trade name and so on, so I'm not being duped per se...maybe that's the bit that Ade alluded to on the other post where a buyer has a responsibility to know what it is they're buying and who they're buying from, particularly if theyre dropping the big bucks! Additionally I don't believe this seller was calling something something it's not and charging more money for the pleasure. I absolutely think there are sellers out there who are careless, don't do their research etc., we probably all know this, but I think my point is - get to know your seller and if you are comfortable that they know their shiz, you can forgive them small inaccuracies like this in the context of the world of crystals which is full of pitfalls, busyness and general craziness. OK, splurge over. TY for reading if you got this far 🧡
Unfortunately this is getting all too common within the crystal industry Jami hun. So many sellers are making up information, not self-educating or just repeating information they have been fed by their suppliers. I have commented on several sellers posts in the last few days about the Sphalerite issue with zero response. I guess all we can do is to continue educating ourselves and relying on the community to keep us on the right path Ade
