Retreat

That's really wanky of people. I would have loved to gone but by the time I heard about it originally all the spots were taken. Sadly I wouldn't be able to come now as my youngest is autistic and needs so much preparation being away from me. Gonna save loads of pounds and come up to the shop one day if you stop tempting me with all the lush bits in the live sales. Hope this gets sorted for you guys it's not fair or right x

Oh no I’m absolutely gutted for you! All the hard work that has been put into this, it’s disgusting that people aren’t replying. I have been so looking forward to the retreat and to think it will have to be cancelled due to peoples ignorance is so upsetting. This is a charity venue and a small family business collaborating to do something good for all of us. If for some reason I wasn’t able to go I would still have paid for the place I booked so as not to let anyone down, but that’s just me. The fact that we were all given so much time and notice to cancel and free up places for those that missed out as well, there’s just no need for it. Pure selfishness on the part of those that have ignored you. I wonder if those same people will have a problem replying to messages when it comes to the lives and buying crystals? What a shame. I’m so sorry Ade, Lou, Siobhan and everyone else involved in trying to put this together for us.

I’m genuinely shocked that there are still so many people with outstanding payments 😩 Ade and Lou do this for us. They go out of their way to help, dedicating their time and energy to this community. They don’t deserve to be left in this situation.😢 Please don’t let Ade, Lou, and this incredible community they’ve built down. If you’ve booked a room - pay for it! Or at least reach out to Ade and Lou, reply to messages. I truly didn’t believe people in this community would do this. 💔

I know that you wouldn't want to do this but... I used to work in the hotel trade and if people had booked, but hadn't turned up, without giving any notice (48 hrs was requested for notice) then we were within our rights to charge their cards for the stay. If people have booked - and you have proof of that booking - send them a message saying they must give you a week's notice of cancellation or their card will be charged. This may be a community, but it's also a business and as a business, NWC had rights too! As long as you ha e proof of booking, give notice, and if necessary, charge and send a receipt, they don't have right of dispute 🤷‍♀️

Thanks hun. It looks like we are going to be out of pocket by around £1530 because people who wanted rooms haven’t paid. All the rooms were snapped up within 10 days of the dates being announced and now people are not even replying to messages or contacting us to let us know what’s happening. We’ve organised workshops, talks, stalls, soundbaths, special guests, food etc etc not to mention all the hard work that Siobhan has put in making sure everyone’s accommodations with regard to personal needs have been met, only for us to be let down. It’s very sad in deed. Ade
